La Porte is port country. Barbours Cut and Bayport move more containers than anywhere else on the Gulf Coast, and every one of them rides a chassis behind a tractor on SH-225, SH-146, Fairmont Parkway or Underwood Road. Our 50-ton rotator and heavy wreckers handle the rollovers, chassis failures, tipped containers and plant lifts along the terminal roads, with the TWIC-level discipline that port and plant work requires.
Corridors and hot spots we cover
- SH-225 La Porte Freeway from the 610 East Loop to SH-146
- SH-146 from the Fred Hartman Bridge south through La Porte, Shoreacres and Seabrook
- Fairmont Parkway and Underwood Road terminal lanes
- Barbours Cut Boulevard and the Barbours Cut Terminal approaches
- Port Road and Bay Area Boulevard to the Bayport Container Terminal
- Battleground Road (SH-134) and the Morgan's Point plant roads
Container work has its own failure modes: chassis with collapsed landing gear or broken suspensions, loaded boxes tipped in a yard or on a ramp, and tractors that roll on the SH-225/SH-146 ramps or the Fred Hartman approaches. The rotator lifts a loaded container straight up off a failed chassis and sets it on a replacement, which is the difference between a two-hour job and a day of waiting on a crane. We coordinate with terminal operations on gate access and staging before we roll.
The plants along SH-225 and Battleground Road add scheduled lifts, tank-truck recoveries and equipment moves, all with permits, escorts and identification handled ahead of time. Deer Park, Pasadena, Shoreacres, Morgan's Point and Seabrook are minutes away, and recovered units can go to your yard, your dealer or our TDLR-licensed storage facility in Sugar Land.

DetailsLa Porte, Bayport & Barbours Cut questions
Can you lift a loaded container off a broken chassis?
Yes. Container lifts and chassis swaps are a regular rotator job. Tell dispatch the container size, whether it is loaded and roughly what it weighs, and we bring the right spreader rigging.
Do your operators have port and plant access credentials?
Operator identification and certificates of insurance are sent ahead for terminal and plant access. Tell dispatch which terminal or gate and we handle the rest.
How fast can you reach Barbours Cut or Bayport?
The run from Sugar Land is Beltway 8 to SH-225 or SH-146. Dispatch gives you a live ETA when you call, based on where the rotator is at that moment.
